Are you a South African with a clean bill of health? Are you physically capable to work with weights of up to 45kg (attaching and detaching train coaches/vehicles)? Then you might be the person Transnet Freight Rail is looking to appoint the position of Trainee Train Assistant at their Ermelo North operations. The Trainee Train Assistant will also be trained as a train driver and will have an opportunity to be awarded an employment contract at the completion of their training. Trainees will be paid a monthly stipend during the duration of training.

What are the requirements?

Have a matric/Grade 12 qualification;
Be of excellent health;
Be of a height of 1,6m or taller;
Be physically able to lift and carry objects (you will be subjected to a test of your physical abilities).
