SASSA SRD applications are open today. Everyone that previously applied for SRD should apply again. Caregivers (e.g. mothers of children receiving grants) also qualify to apply for the SRD R350 Grant, unless they receive another grant in their name for themselves (e.g. old age grant). You can apply via the SASSA USSD, or SASSA SRD WhatsApp number or you can apply online.
How to apply for the SASSA SRD R350 grant?
There are five (5) ways to apply:
- Firstly, through the website at https://srd.sassa.gov.za;
- Through our WhatsApp line on 082 046 8553;
- The USSD line *134*7737#
- GovChat: https://govchat.app/login
- Facebook Messenger: https://www.facebook.com/govchat.org
Please note that an application should be submitted through only one of the above channels – it is not necessary to submit multiple applications. Confirmation will be received as soon as the application has been successfully submitted.
SASSA encourages all applicants to conclude their applications when they start making the applications to avoid any technical challenges.
