The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is inviting applications for 14 Clinical Psychology Intern positions for a 12-month contract starting 1 January 2027. Based at prestigious training complexes across Cape Town, including Groote Schuur, Tygerberg, Stikland, Lenteguer, Alexandra, Red Cross Children’s, and Valkenberg hospitals, interns will gain comprehensive exposure to adult and child psychiatric conditions, psychometric and neuropsychological assessments, forensic services, and community outreach. Offering a highly competitive package of R741,102 per annum, this internship programme is designed for individuals who have completed the theoretical component of their Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and are eligible for HPCSA registration as a Psychologist Intern by 1 January 2027.
What are the requirements?
Honours degree in Psychology. Successful completion of the theoretical part of the Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology.
